Environmental Commission – Commitment of all to Awareness Campaign

Present: Thomas, Rachel, Morgana, Joshua, Riccardo.
Ideas discussed:

  • Problem of abandoned animals. Proposal: promote adoptions.
  • Problem of the droppings of dogs that degrade the city. Proposal: awareness campaign with posters to be fixed in the vicinity of parks and public gardens and in some parts of the city. Involved in the implementation of the classes of the posters, Also on the occasion of activities for the week of Ben-being that will take place between 20 and the 24 October 2014.

Organization Ecological Day.

Proposal:

  • contact if there is a contact person in the Legambiente Eraclea.
  • Meet the commissioner of the great environment to know what worked and what did not go well in the ecological days previously organized.

Commitments: for 12/9/2014

  1. Look for pictures and drawings with representations of animals.
  2. Think of witty and funny signs on collecting excrement to raise awareness.
  3. Think of a few golden rules to treat animals well.

With regard to the awareness campaign programmed in the previous session, Today we wrote two letters:

  • a Headmaster Giancarla Marin to ask permission to engage the classes of the institute to collaborate on the project;
  • the Mayor of the great Giorgio Talon to present the initiative on awareness campaign.

Rachel aims to promote a collection of plastic bags for re-use in suitable containers in the vicinity of parks, gardens, along the sidewalks of the city center and surroundings, together with signs of awareness. Accompanying the dogs will not take longer any justification to leave behind droppings of your pet.

Roads Commission: Commitment Safe Streets

In recent months we have undertaken to detect need for reassessment of the roads on the territory of Heraclea, from the center to fractions. Holes and intersections in the country unenlightened, represent a particular danger for children who wish to move independently in moving bike or on foot.

Some reports we have received from boys and girls in our schools to whom we had asked to help in the mapping of critical points of roads, squares, intersections, sidewalks….

We have provided a list of streets that require maintenance and improvement by the Administration, the case of urban roads with municipal.

Solidarity Commission

We were present at the first meeting of the Solidarity Commission.

The members of the group followed the same method delegate committees prior-Sport and Environment:

  • have examined the proposals of the electoral programs,
  • were grouped according to the similarity,
  • were evaluated in terms of the feasibility ,
  • were compared to get to agree on three proposals which reflect.

Here are the three points of the program in the works:

  1. organize events to raise funds to help those in need. “Homework“: do a survey of what is already being done in Eraclea to avoid overlap;
  2. laboratory strengthening of Italian language for foreign students led by mothers and grandparents through activities Conversation (one hour per week in complexes where there is a need);
  3. organize collaborative efforts with guests of the house and Year Engagement with the House of Hospitality. “Homework“: do a survey of what has already been made to provide continuity and / or integrate with other proposals.

As a final point, the proposal to think of a event annually, that can put together more initiatives. It evaluates the idea of ​​organizing the’ establishment of the Festival of Children's Rights.

Sports Commission

What were the proposals for Sport in election campaign?

comm_magg_04_webAnother task before meeting the members of the Sports Commission, was to go to see the site which were proposed in the programs of the aspiring candidates in March.

The proposals of the guys were many:

– Football ground and sports facilities to free entry

– Maintained by grandparents and volunteers

– One Saturday a month dedicated to sports games (this is the most feasible proposal from the boys)

– Add a BMX track, skate board

– Trail

Now the second step. The voice of the members of the Commission.
